The “Apni Chat Apna Ghar” housing initiative exists as a housing scheme from the Chief Ministry of Punjab which provides 100,000 affordable homes for provincial residents. The government initiative operates specifically for families who reside in rented homes or substandard residences to provide them with low-cost ownership of secure housing.
The housing project has been separated into three execution models for completion during four and a half years.
Responsible Authorities:
1 .As the implementing entity Punjab Housing & Town Planning Agency (PHATA) will execute this scheme targeting 100,000 eligible recipients in the province.
2.Administrative Department: Housing, Urban Development, and Public Health Engineering Department (HUD&PHED)
Goals and Benefits:
1.Enhanced living conditions exist as the main purpose for low-income home dwellers.
2.The programs aim to decrease population density as well as minimize slum territories throughout the city.
3.Economic growth initiatives need to bring basic services including clean water, sanitation and electricity access to the population.
4.Promote safety and community development
5.The housing initiative works toward building intensified social bonds among residents who live together.
6.The program will establish 500,000 job positions which will lead to direct and indirect economic development.
Eligibility Requirements:
1.All candidates need to fulfill three primary prerequisites to qualify.
2.A person applying must head their nuclear family which NADRA will verify
3.The requirement for permanent Punjab residence must be verified through CNIC information.
4.Must own land as follows:
5.Up to 5 Marla in urban areas
6.Up to 10 Marla in rural areas
7.The applicant needs to be free from anti-state crimes, anti-social activities, and major offenses and not be registered as a loan defaulter
8.Must not be a loan defaulter
9.The applicant needs to appear in the National Socio-Economic Registry with a PMT score that is equal to or less than 60.
